Background
My name is Anouk (Fullname Anouk-Janine, aka AJ). I live in the Netherlands. I started my Instagram account because I didn’t see many LGBTQ members sharing tips about coming out or the relation between LGBTQ and mental health. I want to raise awareness, entertain and educate people with my account.
I’m a ‘specialist’ in religious people and the LGBTQ community. I experienced it firsthand with my family. What I really missed in that time is someone who could give me tips or guide me during that horrible experience.
Right now I’m dealing with my anxiety and my OCD. This is one of the main reasons why I also post about mental health. A lot of LGBTQ members are struggling with their mental health because of rejection, discrimination, etc.
I have 2 dogs and 3 cats, I know… It’s a lot! I love our little zoo. Speaking of ‘our’: I’m married to Charlie. I met her when I just came out. She is the total opposite of me. We like different things but we go so well together. We have been together for almost 6 years. Time flies by when you are having fun!
