Business Overview

I’m Allyson Ford she/her/hers, a licensed therapist (LPCC 8880) based in San Diego, California. I provide virtual services all throughout California.

I specialize in treating Eating Disorders, Anxiety, and Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder. I often work with trauma, relational concerns, and body dysmorphic disorder as well. I have extensive professional training as well as lived experience. Years ago, I found myself trapped in my own eating disorder and obsessive-compulsive disorder- it didn’t feel like things would ever get better. I eventually took a leap of faith, went through treatment, and found full recovery. This sparked my passion for helping others find this same healing. My clients take comfort knowing they can come to me, judgment-free, and talk with a therapist who has been there.

As a therapist, I tailor my approach to fit your individual needs and believe our relationship is one of the most important components to your healing. I have years of professional experience in a variety of settings including outpatient, inpatient, residential treatment centers, schools, and private practice. I have fully recovered myself, which helps my clients feel like they can relate. I know firsthand what it’s like to struggle and it’s my mission to help my clients find the same freedom I have. I utilize an integrated approach to healing including humanistic, Internal Family Systems Therapy (IFS), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Exposure and Response Prevention therapy (ERP). I view things both through an individual and systems lens- as I believe systems of oppression shape our mental health in a myriad of ways. Are you ready to reclaim your life?
