Business Overview

Amy Player LPC-CMHT specializes in working with clients who struggle with, anxiety, depression, gender issues and LGBTQAI+, spiritual abuse and substance abuse issues; specifically clients 12-55 years of age. I help clients learn how to cope on a daily basis; relationships, depression, anxiety, codependency, trauma, LGBTQAI+ issues and gender affirming. I grew up in Salt Lake City. Helping others is something I have felt pressed to do my entire life. The amazing example of my father is where I learned compassion for all humans. I have experience working in the mental health system, inpatient psychiatric units, emergency room psychiatric screening, substance abuse facilities, non-profit agencies for LGBTQAI+ rights and private practice. Utilizing years of professional and personal experience give me the empathy and compassion for all. I too am in recovery & have been sober 21 years from alcohol. I have been in your shoes, let me help you navigate the road to your recovery. I am licensed in the State of Alabama #3204. I am also a LPC-S in the state of Alabama #1044, State of Tennessee LPC-MHSP #5401 and State of Georgia #LPC012173.

I reside with my wife and with our four kids, our cat and dog between the Nashville and Huntsville area. I enjoys spending time outdoors, traveling across the US wherever mountains and rivers can be found. I am an avid reader, learner, outdoors woman and I enjoy teaching our kids how to serve others, to better our community and teach them how to love and accept others for who they are regardless.
