I have experienced trauma resulting in anxiety and panic attacks, and have spent years practicing many different ways of healing to address my own pain including therapy, yoga, spiritual grounding, mindfulness, nutrition, creative activities, and participating in supportive groups and communities. I have found meaning in music-making as an opera singer and K-12 credentialed teacher, have taught yoga, been a reiki practitioner, and taught mindfulness in many different settings. I’ve always known I’d become a helper, the question was simply what tool I’d end up using. Talk therapy has given me the most support in understanding and overcoming anxiety in my own life, and I am excited to synthesize and share everything I’ve learned with others who are suffering.
