Business Overview

Lea Powell she/her/hers, M.A

I am a Marriage and Family Therapist Candidate servicing Individuals, Couples and Families in the Denver-Metro Area via Outdoor, Office, and Telehealth Settings. I am currently working towards licensure while supervised by an accredited AAMFT supervisor.

I hold unique professional experience from working in the field of Mental Health in a variety of settings and roles; including, Peer and Family Specialist at a Crisis Respite Center, a Mental Health Worker for youth in a Trauma-Informed Residential Home, and as a Pre-Licensed Clinician in Community Mental Health and Private Practice settings.

Through my diverse experience, I have learned that therapy is not one size fits all. In recognizance of this, I will work with you in a collaborative way to identify therapeutic goals and tailor interventions that are specific to your needs. My approach is eclectic, meaning that I draw upon my knowledge and training from a variety of therapeutic theories and models based on your your presenting concerns.

I hold the therapeutic relationship in high regard, meaning, I view our connection in the healing space as an active agent for change and find value in creating a therapeutic space that humanizes the experience of therapy.
