Business Overview

Living Well Psychotherapy is a heart-centered integrative psychotherapy practice based in Evanston, Illinois, offering both in-person and virtual telehealth psychotherapy. With a holistic approach that nurtures the mind, body, spirit, and community, our mission is to help you heal, grow, and live your most authentic, deeply rooted life.

Founded by Steve Thorpe and Ruth Minnick, Living Well Psychotherapy draws on a breadth of evidence-based modalities — including EMDR, Internal Family Systems, somatic therapy, breathwork, and psychodynamic psychotherapy — to support clients navigating trauma, anxiety, depression, overwhelm, and relational challenges.

At our core, we believe that true wellness comes not from superficial appearances, but from inner depth. Our logo — a vibrant, multi-seasonal tree — symbolizes the many facets of your being and the growth that emerges when every branch and root is honored.

Living Well Psychotherapy is deeply relational: we don’t just help clients reduce symptoms, we guide them toward transformational healing. Through therapy, you can cultivate healthier relationships, set boundaries, deepen self-compassion, and live with greater purpose.

Our dedicated team of licensed psychotherapists embraces diversity and inclusivity, creating a safe and affirming space for people of all backgrounds, identities, and experiences.

We accept a variety of insurance plans and also offer flexible payment options for clients without insurance.

If you’re ready to take the first step toward a more meaningful, fulfilling life — whether you’re feeling stuck, recovering from past wounds, or simply seeking deeper connection — we’re here for you. Book a free 15-minute consultation today, and begin your Living Well journey.
