I cannot recommend Melanie enough. She is very compassionate, great at digging deep into situations to understand root causes. I’ve been to other therapists and to be honest most listen, don’t give feedback, or are too judgmental. Melanie has the right amount of empathy and care for her clients. I used to dread therapy and not believe in it. Now I often look forward to it. Now it feels more like talking with a friend than you are paying for a service.

I was seeking an in-person therapist in the Jersey City/Hoboken area, which was a struggle at first to find a good practice frankly, and am so glad I eventually found Melanie and Nurturing Life. Great therapist, clean and comforting office, and they have always made availability for me when I needed it most. They also work with young kids, which i thought was adorable!
