According to recent data, 23.93% of all youth in Austria have a mental health issue. For example, over a third of all young people have had a mental health condition at some point in their lives.
This study also discovered that fewer than half of those youth had found professional help from a psychiatrist specializing in treating young people. In addition, about 63% of the surveyed children with ADHD had seen a specialist. In contrast, nearly 20% sought treatment for eating disorders and even fewer for suicidal behavior disorders (16.7%) and non-suicidal self-harm (10.0%).
