History/Data
One significant piece of Aartselaar history is a destination called Cleydael Castle. This site is a moated castle that dates back to the 14th century, and it contains four towers called Fox tower, Chapel tower, Owl tower, and Cat tower.
Until the end of the 18th century, this castle was home to the lords of Cleydael. It used to be part of a golf course, but now it is private property.
In 2006, it was determined that Aartselaar had a total population of 14,375 residents.
