Business Overview

SUSAN R GOODWIN Dip.Couns MBACP

Need someone to talk to; We’re here to listen!

I’m a BACP registered counselor providing individual sessions remotely and face to face. The service is confidential, non-judgmental to help with emotional wellbeing and relationship issues. We don’t have a drop-in service, but we provide flexible times for short-term or long-term therapy.

I started studying psychology but fell in love with psychotherapy and counseling theories. Once I had advanced in the subject, I had to practice the skills, as a therapist initially on supervised placement at Cruse Bereavement Support providing one-to-one short-term therapy. When I had enough hours under my belt I wanted to gain experience in other areas. I worked with adolescents aged 13- 25-year-old with the YMCA trinity group in Peterborough gained experience with a variety of different issues from childhood sexual abuse, to psychotic disorders. In my last placement, I worked with clients accessing treatment for substance misuse at Inclusion. Since I qualified, I have continued volunteering for Cruse.

In January 2019 I set up the Private Practice I have worked on a freelance basis with various organizations, and I’m also seeing clients that approach me directly wanting to work with me I offer sessions remotely via video, telephone, chat, or face to face in my therapy room.
