Rupaul’s Drag Race Season 15: Meet the Queens Part II

To recap from our previous post, RuPaul’s Drag Race Season 15 is premiering on its new network, MTV, on January 6th, 2023. It will feature 16 queens, the most we’ve seen yet, and the biggest cash prize of $200,000.

The upcoming season will also contain the landmark 200th episode of RuPaul’s Drag Race

The first episode will be in two-part, followed by the after-show, Untucked.

If you’re as obsessed with drag race as we are, then you’re probably curious about who the guest judges will be and want to know about the new queens. We covered the guest judges and 8 of the queens in our previous post about Drag Race (link). • Harvey Guillen
  • Hayley Kiyoko
  • Julia Garner
  • Janelle Monáe
  • Maren Morris
  • Megan Stalter
  • Orville Peck

Now, we will discuss the other eight queens and give you some background.

Marcia Marcia Marcia is much like her namesake from the Brady Bunch, where “she’s the most popular girl in school — and mom’s favorite!” This queen from NYC can sing and dance and brings her Broadway background to the musical challenges.

Princess Poppy | IG: @poppyprincesspoppy, TikTok: @poppyprincesspoppy | San Francisco, CA

Princess Poppy has beauty and brings a quirky edge to the competition. She can do it all, whether it’s singing, rapping, acting, or dancing – plus, she brings her wicked sense of humor to the table. Known as a TikTok sensation, she’s bringing her skills to the stage.

Robin Fierce |IG: @therobinfierce, TW: @TheRobinFierce, TikTok: @therobinfierce | Hartford, CT

Robin Fierce is a big diva who is described as “a mix of Beyoncé sass and Diahann Carroll class.” Even though she may come across as chill, she will pull out kicks and cartwheels as soon as she graces the stage.

Salina EsTitties | IG: @estitties, TW: @SalinaEstitties, TikTok: @estitties | Los Angeles, CA

Salina EsTitties is a sassy Latinx diva who is self-described as “chola street style and campy comedy.” Salina is a fierce performer from the bar scene to TV, film, and commercials.

Sasha Colby | IG: @sashacolby, TW: @sashacolby, TikTok: @sashacolby | Los Angeles, CA

Sasha is an icon from the House of Colby. She is well-known for her reign as Miss Continental and is Kerri Colby’s drag mother. This Hawaii-born goddess has been performing on drag stages for two decades and knows how to serve the body, beauty, and many more talents.

Sugar | IG: @sugarsworld, TW: @sugarsworld_, TikTok: @sugarandspice | Los Angeles, CA

Social media superstar Sugar is hitting the drag race stage with her TikTok twin sister, Spice. We’re unsure yet whether they’re a packaged deal, but we’re looking forward to seeing what she can bring.

Spice | IG: @callmespice, TW: @callmespice_, TikTok: @sugarandspice | Los Angeles, CA

As we just mentioned, Spice is making a drag race herstory by teaming up with her TikTok superstar sister, Sugar. Even though performing is new to these two, they will add some extra flair and drama to this season. Spice is the edgier of the two, and we look forward to seeing her show off her talents.

The Meet the Queens Special

If you want to know more about these queens, the official RuPaul’s Drag Race YouTube page has a one-hour “Meet the Queens” video. It is hosted by the winner of season 14, Willow Pill, where Willow introduces the 16 new queens. In this video, you can see all the queens doing an introductory catwalk presentation.
