It all began with an idea! Evidence-based care focused on outcomes specific to the needs of the communities that it serves. Born out of necessity, Diverse Practice was founded on this principle. Most current models of care and treatment protocols were never designed with the needs of diverse clients in mind—vaguely, if ever, at all, aligning with the unique demands, culture, or values of each of these cohorts—while missing or discounting our resilience and shared “Other” experience.
